Cargo WLL Planner: what the result means
Use before hauling cargo on a flatbed, trailer, or truck bed to plan securement straps and check ratings.
Steps
- Enter the cargo wet/dry weight and length.
- List individual tie-down assemblies with strap and anchor ratings.
- Select direct or indirect attachment method for each tie-down.
- Check aggregate WLL against the required 50% threshold.
Formula
Aggregate WLL = Sum of WLL contributions (Direct: 0.5 × assembly WLL; Indirect: 1.0 × assembly WLL), where assembly WLL is the minimum of the strap and anchor ratings.
