How TowCheck works

TowCheck is an independent towing and RV planning platform for people who want to check the numbers behind a purchase, loading plan, or off-grid setup. It organizes user-entered ratings and documented specifications; it does not approve a vehicle combination or replace manufacturer instructions, applicable law, inspection, or qualified electrical and mechanical work.

How tools are created

1. A tool begins with one decision and a formula whose inputs and units can be shown.
2. Assumptions, missing inputs, and educational limits are made visible beside the result.
3. Pure calculations receive automated tests before a production build is accepted.
4. Relevant primary technical sources and a review date are attached to the page.

How guides and products are selected

Guides begin with the measurement or calculator that should come first. Products are shortlisted when their documented format or use case is meaningfully different from another option. TowCheck compares published specifications, manuals, warranty statements, compatibility boundaries, and support records. Unless a page explicitly documents a test method, the comparison is source research—not undisclosed personal testing.

Source transparency and review

Product source ledgers identify the document type, URL, check date, and the claim the record supports. Calculator sources support formulas and terminology. A source record never overrides the label, manual, or instructions for a visitor’s exact vehicle, trailer, appliance, or component.

How affiliate relationships work

Approved affiliate destinations can be activated only in a central merchant configuration. Every product retains a non-affiliate fallback, and an inactive program does not remove the guide or make it less useful. Commercial relationships do not buy a ranking, change a formula, or remove a documented limitation. See the affiliate disclosure.

Corrections and contact

Send the page URL, the statement or result you believe should change, and a primary source through the private contact form. TowCheck does not publish submitter contact information. Calculation corrections require a test and methodology review; product corrections require an updated source record.
