  1. Photograph the exact tow vehicle’s payload, certification and tire labels
  2. Obtain official GCWR and loaded-trailer-rating documentation for the exact configuration
  3. Confirm receiver trailer and tongue or pin-weight ratings
  4. Record trailer GVWR, unloaded weight and cargo capacity from its labels
  5. Estimate occupants, cargo, hitch hardware, accessories, fluids and supplies
  6. Run payload, GVWR, GCWR, axle, receiver, tire and trailer checks independently
  7. Plan a loaded-scale verification before travel
  8. Keep the calculator report with the purchase notes
