PRINTABLE TOWCHECK CHECKLIST
Motorcycle securement checklist
Use this planning aid alongside the exact manufacturer documentation and qualified inspection appropriate to your equipment.
- Confirm the hitch carrier weight limit or trailer capacity exceeds total bike and gear weight
- Verify the front wheel chock matches the tire width and is bolted securely to the deck
- Roll the motorcycle straight into the chock until the pivot gate or clamp engages
- Loop soft ties around the lower triple clamp or frame, avoiding brake lines and wires
- Attach ratchet straps to the soft loops and pull forward at a 45-degree angle on both sides
- Tighten both side straps symmetrically to pull the front wheel firmly into the chock
- Secure two rear straps to the frame or swingarm to prevent the back end from bouncing or sliding
- Shake the motorcycle to confirm it does not lean or wiggle inside the chock
