Hitch-height measurement checklist

1. □Park the loaded tow vehicle and disconnected trailer on the same level surface
2. □Inflate tires according to applicable vehicle and tire documentation
3. □Level the trailer using its manufacturer reference or instructions
4. □Identify compatible receiver and coupler measurement reference points
5. □Record the loaded receiver and level coupler heights
6. □Calculate nominal rise or drop without rounding away the original measurements
7. □Confirm ball-mount, ball, receiver and trailer ratings and compatibility
8. □Remeasure the connected, travel-ready trailer and retain the result
